For nearly all of us, the last three years have been a blur of regulations and statistics – a constant swing from fear to hope and back. We were updated daily on the number of Coronavirus deaths; we were told what to do to keep each other “safe”. We were given updates, we were given orders. We were told when to be afraid, and what to say. We were told what to think and how to act.
Until now, the silent majority hasn’t had a voice. They’ve been drowned out by The Virus, neatly sidestepped by a society too afraid to challenge the status quo. Out of Lockstep aims to tell those stories. Our stories. We invite you to explore an immersive journey through the minds and lives of The Rest of Us – everyone who was lost in the noise or faded into media censorship. Come experience the pandemic as we did… you might even find a mirror.
Out of Lockstep does not present a conclusion, nor does it ask you to follow a path. Rather, Out of Lockstep asks you to observe, and decide for yourself.
Out of Lockstep is appropriate for all ages but contains unfiltered themes and images from the pandemic which may be upsetting to some viewers. The entire exhibit takes roughly 30 to 45 minutes to experience.
